Blues seal new partnership with luxury hotel group

The Blues have inked a new three-year deal with luxury boutique hotel group Fable Hotels & Resorts, as national corporate accommodation partner.

Combining award-winning hospitality with exceptional properties, Fable Hotels & Resorts is New Zealand’s leading privately-owned luxury accommodation group, having set the standard for growth and guest experience since launching in 2020.

Fable’s current locations in Auckland, Terrace Downs, Christchurch, and Dunedin will be joined with properties in Auckland’s CBD, Hanmer Springs and Picton in the next 24 months.

The partnership deal will see Blues corporate travellers staying at Fable properties around the county, along with hosting special events and meetings at the well-appointed conference and event facilities.

Blues CEO, Andrew Hore, says the partnership is a welcome addition to the Blues family.

“We are thrilled to partner with Fable Hotels & Resorts,” said Hore. “They are a company on the up with new properties being developed across the country. We are looking forward to what will be a mutually beneficial partnership.”

Prakash Pandey, Fable Hotels & Resorts Founder, says the partnership is an exciting opportunity for the brand to get behind one of the country’s most iconic sporting teams.

“While we have a national footprint in the luxury accommodation market, our headquarters is based in Auckland and we are avid fans of the Blues, so this opportunity to connect with the team, their fans and the wider community made perfect sense for our business. We look forward to welcoming the Blues corporate travellers and event guests and giving them the unique Fable experience that we have become known for globally.”

To celebrate the partnership, Blues fans have a chance to experience Fable’s world-class hospitality for themselves with a ‘staycation’ prize-pack to be claimed at the first home game of the season - a Grand Final rematch against the Crusaders at Eden Park.

Two lucky fans will enjoy a weekend stay at one of Fable’s two Auckland properties, receive tickets to the Blues v Crusaders on Saturday night as well as a ‘money can’t buy’ changing room ‘meet and greet’ following the game.

Hore noted the club was expecting a bumper crowd for the first home game of the season.

“It’s great to give Blues fans a chance to enjoy the luxury boutique hotel experience for themselves with this excellent prize pack,” he said. “We expect the Crusaders game to sell-out, so here’s a chance to lock in your tickets, a luxury night’s accommodation and a special experience that money can’t buy - I wish I could enter!"
